Skolkovo Innovation Center integrated security system

SecurOS Video Management Platform at the heart of the Skolkovo Innovation Center security system

Implementation tasks

  • Automation of entries and exits at transport checkpoints, parking lots, and the territory of residential areas;
  • Implementation of a global video monitoring system at the Skolkovo Innovation Center using video analytics.

Project description

Automation of entries and exits at transport checkpoints, parking lots, and the territory of residential areas

The solution, which is based on SecurOS software, includes specialized IP cameras (SecurOS IVS AutoCam complexes).

The entry and exit automation system has been deployed at all checkpoints of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. Six SecurOS IVS AutoCam complexes are implemented at two three-lane checkpoints, that operate simultaneously for entry and exit (in reverse mode). Also, four complexes operate at two two-lane checkpoints and four complexes are installed at a four-lane checkpoint (works in reverse mode).

SecurOS Auto license plate recognition system’s integration with the application registration system provides an automatic opening of the barrier at the checkpoint for vehicles for which an application is created.

When the vehicle is approaching an entrance checkpoint or a parking checkpoint, SecurOS IVS AutoCam transmits a video stream to the SecurOS Auto video server for processing. The SecurOS Auto video analytic module recognizes the vehicle’s license plate and checks if it is in the authorized list of vehicles allowed to enter. Above each lane, there is an electronic sign, which displays information corresponding to the recognition result of the vehicle’s license plate.

When the recognized license plate is found in the database of vehicles permitted for entry, SecurOS commands the barrier to open; and the car can pass.

Implementation of a global video monitoring system at the Skolkovo Innovation Center using video analytics

The video surveillance system of the Skolkovo Innovation Center with more than 600 IP-cameras allows receiving 24/7 operational data on the situation at infrastructure facilities.

SecurOS situational video analytics detectors (more than 70 video channels) provide timely detection of emergency situations that may be dangerous. Video analytics tools allow detecting illegal actions and cases of violation of public order on the Center’s territory:

  • detect abandoned items;
  • identify cases of passage in the prohibited direction;
  • detect crowds in places and situations where it can signal danger.

Data received from CCTV cameras are sent to the Skolkovo Monitoring Center, where the video wall (SecurOS VideoWall) and operator workstations are located.

Results

The operation of the integrated security system made it possible to increase the capacity of checkpoints, ensure full control and accounting of vehicles on the Center’s territory, and raise awareness of the current situation on the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Completed work

ISS carried out a full range of works: from pre-design inspection to adjustment and subsequent commissioning of the system.

Currently, ISS specialists provide technical support for the system.
