ISS helps ensuring the pedestrians’ safety in Veliky Novgorod
ISS has installed an intelligent pedestrian crossing control system in the city.
ISS has installed an intelligent system aimed at improving the safety of unregulated pedestrian crossings. The pilot project was ordered by the Ministry of Transport, Road Management, and Digital Development of the Novgorod Region.
The system was installed at one of the accident centers in Veliky Novgorod – a pedestrian crossing through Pskovskaya st. at the intersection with March 8 st.
The system not only provides static illumination of the pedestrian crossing zone but also provides continuous light tracking for people crossing the crosswalk in the dark. Dynamic illumination continuously accompanies the movement of a pedestrian and attracts the attention of the driver in advance, warning him of the presence of a person on the roadway. Thus, the system significantly increases the safety of pedestrians, reducing the likelihood of cars colliding with them.
Regardless of the path of the pedestrian, the intelligent system tracks its movement and provides light tracking as soon as a person is within the crosswalk.
The Novgorod company Regul was engaged in the installation of the equipment.
