SecurOS is Backbone of ‘Safe Region’ System in Nizhny Novgorod Region
ISS has completed the third phase of building the 'Safe Region' hardware-software complex by expanding the video monitoring system and adding a new security system functionality to improve the efficiency of law enforcement agencies.
A regional-scale security system, with SecurOS software platform at its core, has been operating and developing for many years in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The system is being implemented in accordance with the unified technical specifications of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), the ‘Safe City’ Construction and Development Concept.
ISS has been running the ‘Safe Region’ development and modernization project in the Nizhny Novgorod Region since 2017. Before that, only separate segments of the system were based on the ISS SecurOS VMS. By 2018, SecurOS products had become its backbone. Now, the third stage of developing the ‘Safe Region’ system has been completed, resulting in a major expansion of the video monitoring system and a new functionality added to the system.
The purpose of the project’s third phase is to increase the overall level of public order, safety and comfort for residents and guests of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in particular, by creating an effective environment for interaction between the emergency services. The system is a powerful tool for preventing crime and increasing the detection rate. We look forward to productive cooperation with the regional government to further scale and develop the solution.
